  • RoHS II Directive - Update on applications exempted from restrictions

    Within the framework of the restrictions on the use of hazardous substances defined by the RoHS Directive 2011 / 65 / CE (RoHS 2), a series of exemptions are provided for the authorization of the placing on the market of EEE containing the banned substances (the exemptions are listed in Annexes III and IV of the Directive).

  • Certifications of conformity in the Eurasian Union

    With the creation of the Eurasian Customs Union - joined by Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia - the creation of a system of Technical Regulations was initiated as harmonization measures aimed at unifying and simplifying the procedures for exporting products to this economic space.
     

  • 2008 / 68 / EC Directive on the inland transport of dangerous goods - Change

    The Official Journal of the European Union n.42 of 15 February 2018 was published Directive (EU) 2018 / 217 amending the 2008 / 68 / EC Directive on the inland transport of dangerous goods.
    The Directive (EU) 2018 / 217 modifies Annex I, Chapter I.1, of the 2008 / 68 / CE ADR Directive, updating the reference to the latest updated and amended edition of the ADR Regulation.

  • Brexit - Notice of the European Commission

    The European Commission, in order to focus some of the repercussions related to the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union - and of which EU companies will inevitably have to take into account - has started publishing a series of notices in which it summarized some initial considerations of legal character
    Introduction to the notices is that what is presented is net of any further transitional agreements between the European Union and the United Kingdom.

  • BIM - obligations of the Procurement Code and the role of the UNI 11337 standard

    The 28 January 2018 entered into force the implementing decree n. 560 of 1 December 2017 (of the Procurement Code), adopted by MIT to define the methods and times for the gradual introduction of the compulsory use of specific electronic methods and tools for the design, execution and management of construction works.
    From 1 January 2019, in fact, the BIM will become mandatory for the works of amount based on tender equal or higher than 100 million, to become an integral part of any construction work starting from 1 January 2025.

  • Proposal to revise the Drinking Water Directive 98 / 83 / CE

    On February 1, the European Commission published its proposal to revise the directive on the quality of water intended for human consumption, the so-called drinking water directive.

    The Regulation (EU) 2018 / 79 has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, which modifies the legislation in force for plastic materials and objects intended to come into contact with food products.

  • 2000 / 14 / CE Directive 'External Noise' - Public consultation at the start

    The European Commission has opened the 23 January the public consultation on the evaluation and possible revision of the 2000 / 14 / CE Directive on the environmental acoustic emission of the machines and equipment intended to work outdoors
     
    An evaluation of the effectiveness of the current legislation in this field has been started for some time and now the possibility of drawing up a legislative proposal to revise the Directive is being considered.
