Objectives of the course
The course enables you to acquire the competence to identify and classify hazardous areas, technical reference standards, and to identify specific prevention measures for the implementation of the ATEX 2014 / 34 / EU Directive.
From 20 April of 2016, the ATEX 2014 / 34 / EU Directive came into force, replacing the previous 94 / 9 / CE Directive. The scope of the new Directive continues to cover the design and manufacture of protective equipment and systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The most important novelty is the obligations of economic operators (manufacturers, importers, distributors and authorized representatives) and the procedures for notifying conformity assessment bodies.
