Objectives of the course
The course enables you to acquire risk assessment techniques, based on the requirements of the 2006 / 42 / CE Directive and harmonized standards prepared by CEN under the mandate of the European Commission.
Risk assessment is the fundamental tool defined by the 2006 / 42 / CE Directive to determine which essential health and safety requirements apply to the specific machine.
Risk assessment is an iterative process that must be carried out in parallel with the machine design process: the task of the manufacturer is to assess that each risk reduction measure envisaged to address a particular hazard is adequate and does not give rise to New dangers.
In addition, the 2006 / 42 / EC Directive establishes that the results of the risk assessment are documented in the technical file of the machine. Proper preparation of the technical dossier therefore allows the manufacturer to demonstrate compliance of his product with the requirements of the 2006 / 42 / CE Machinery Directive in the event of controls by market surveillance authorities.
