With the aim of promoting the participation of Italian companies in tenders for services and supplies issued by United Nations agencies, ICE-Agenzia organizes an information event on the procurement of the UN agencies, adopting the format "IPS - International Procurement Seminar", developed by the UNGM - United Nations Global Marketplace.
The seminar will take place on 16 and 17 Maggio 2019 days, at the Rome Fair on the occasion of the "EXCO2019" exhibition, an exhibition dedicated to International Cooperation.
The companies that, by 15 March 2019 date, will be successfully registered among the suppliers on the platform will be able to participate United Nations Global Marketplace.
The working language will be English and an interpreting service will not be provided.
In the 2017 the UN procurement of goods and services amounted to over $ 18,5 billion, with just $ 330 million of Italian quota.
The aim of the initiative, supported by the ICE-Agency, is to involve new Italian companies in the tender procedures of the UN system. To this end, the speakers of 12 United Nations Agencies were invited to present the strategies of the action programs inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the modalities for participation in tenders in the following sectors of activity:
• Emergency management, logistics, air transport and peacekeeping
• Innovation, ICT and Technology and engineering services
• Agribusiness, Agroindustria and Pesca
• Pharmaceutical-health and Medical
The participating companies may request to meet the procurement officers of the UN agencies in dedicated One to One sessions. The meeting request will be subject to the scrutiny and the unquestionable confirmation of the UN agencies.
At the IPS event of May 2019 in Rome, Italian and Maltese operators registered as UNGM suppliers will participate alongside the Italian operators.
