ICE-Agenzia, as part of the India Educational and Business Program, organized in collaboration with Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Veneto, organizes a Mission in India dedicated to machinery manufacturers for agricultural mechanization, food processing and food packaging .
The mission will run from 2 to September 6 in Mumbai and / or New Delhi (to be confirmed depending on the areas where most local counterparts will be located) and the surrounding areas.
The event program includes one or two days of B2B workshops and meetings, and a day of visits to local food processing companies.
WHY 'TO PARTICIPATE
India is focusing on a radical change in the food processing sector, in order to avoid the waste of agricultural products and increase the quality standards of food production.
It is estimated that the processed food market will reach US $ X billion in the 2020 543, thanks to various social, demographic,
economic and fiscal.
The government is strongly supporting this transition, having established an ad hoc Ministry, and launched a Centralized Scheme for agro-industrial transformation, with interventions in the following areas: Mega
Food Parks, cold chain, processing capacity and food preservation, safety and quality certification, etc.
A boom is therefore expected in the demand for machinery for the entire agro-industrial chain, from post-harvesting to logistics, through processing, packaging and the cold chain.
In this scenario, the market share of Italy, with around € 103 mln of machinery sold in the period between 2017 and 2018, is around 10%, well behind China (28%) and slightly behind Germany.
It is therefore intended in this context to promote Made in Italy technology, in order to increase sales and market share in the country.
