Confindustria and ABI, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with the Ministry of Economic Development, organize a business mission in the Czech Republic, from 16 to 17 in July. The mission will be guided by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Manlio Di Stefano, and aims to explore the new economic and commercial opportunities deriving from the Czech government's adoption of the Innovation Strategy program of the Czech Republic 2019 – 2030.
FOCUS AREAS OF THE MISSION
The mission will be cross-sectoral, with a focus on sectors:
• 4.0 industry
• Mobility, security and civil protection
• Energy efficiency improvement
In the 2018 the Czech Republic confirmed the stability of the main macroeconomic indicators with a constant GDP growth rate. With the innovation strategy, the Government aims to make the Czech Republic one of the most innovative countries in Europe, with an emphasis on research funding that will reach 2,5% of GDP by 2025 and 3% by 2030. The search for innovative development is therefore a transversal subject for all sectors, offering interesting commercial and economic prospects for foreign counterparts.
For more information on the individual sectors, please refer to the Sector in-depth information sheet.
The program foresees the arrival in Prague of the 16 in July, where a business briefing will take place in the late afternoon, while the 17 July will host the business forum which will be followed by sectorial insights and business meetings.
A first draft of the program is available at this link which is invited to consult periodically for future updates.
