ASSOCOLD workshop on new obligations for the cold world

Etichettatura Energetica e Ecodesign per apparecchi di refrigerazione con funzione di vendita diretta

Il June 25 2019 (11: 00-15: 00) ASSOCOLD organized in Milan the workshop "Energy Labeling and Ecodesign for refrigeration appliances with direct sales function" at the Copernico Blend Tower in Piazza IV Novembre 7.

The European Commission has introduced, starting from 1, March 2021, the obligation of energy labeling also for refrigeration appliances with direct sales function in physical and online stores.

The goal is to provide customers with simplified information, encouraging them to evaluate the operating costs of each device and, with the same technical characteristics, helping them to choose the lowest energy consumption technologies. The Ecodesign energy classification will actually create a selection of products available on the market according to their energy performance.

Related to this obligation, the European Commission has set up a European product database, EPREL (European Product Registry for Energy Labeling).
