The latest investigations into the trade in "fakes", published in 2019 by the OECD and EUIPO in March, show that the current trend is growing: worldwide the trade in "fake" reaches 2016 billion dollars, equal to 509 % of global trade, against the 3,3 billion of the 461, equal to the 2013% of the entire interchange.
The aspects that however struggle to emerge with the necessary clarity from this research seem to be essentially two: the impact of counterfeiting in the "technical sectors" (mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, chemical, etc. characterized by mainly B2B productions) and the impact of Internet and e-Commerce in the spread of "fake" sales worldwide.
In these specific areas (“technical sectors"And"Internet counterfeiting"), ANFIA - National Association of the Automotive Industry Sector and CONVEY, a Turin company operating in the fight against Internet counterfeiting and online protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) started the Pilot Project “in the second half of the year 2018Fighting Online Counterfeiting on B2B and B2C E-Commerce platforms".
The 11 June event will be held to discuss these issues at the UCIMU Palace, Viale Fulvio Testi 128 (Cinisello Balsamo).
