November 27 was published the Inception Impact Assessment (which you can find attached) for the possible revision of the 2000 / 14 / CE Directive on the environmental noise emission of outdoor machines and equipment.
The aim of the document is to inform citizens and stakeholders about the programs of the European Commission in order to have first feedback on the project and effectively participate in future consultation activities.
The document consists of four parts:
- the definition of the context,
- the objectives and paths of revision that can be followed,
- the preliminary assessment of the impact of certain options,
- the presentation of the working methodology
This first phase of feedback gathering will conclude the next December 25 and it is possible to participate through the 'Better Regulation' site of the European Commission, which can be reached at the following link.
The public consultation will then be launched at the beginning of 2018 and will have a duration of three months.
