INAIL - Certification and periodic checks on equipment and installations - online new CIVA telematic application

Inail, with the circular letter n. 12 of 13 May 2019 (link), communicated that as of 27 May it has made available the new CIVA telematic application, which must be used to request online certification and verification services for plants and appliances on the portal of the Institute.

In particular, the system must be used for the following services:

• complaint of earthing systems;

• report of protection systems against atmospheric discharges;

• commissioning and registration of lifting equipment;

• recognition of the suitability of vehicle lifts;

• performance on lifting equipment not CE marked;

• commissioning and registration of lifts and construction hoists;

• commissioning and registration of single pressure devices and assemblies;

• approval of the project and verification of the first heating system;

• first periodic checks.

We report that the process for the online management of all certification and verification services is not yet fully completed and will be in the coming months (to this end it will be communicated by INAIL with a subsequent circular). Therefore, services that have not yet been developed - such as the cumulative commissioning of pressure equipment, valve repair and calibration - can be requested using the modules available on the Inail portal, with transmission via certified electronic mail (PEC).

The circular also points out that only particular attachments, whose digitalization procedures will be particularly complex, can be transmitted by ordinary mail or delivered by hand.

With the launch of the new CIVA on-line service, INAIL established the connection of the services rendered by the Institute with the administrative activities for payment of the requested services (pagoPA @ Inail service). We underline that in any case the application foresees, during the transition to the new system, the possibility of inserting a payment already made through traditional channels (eg bank transfer, current account bulletin).

The circular also states that in the CIVA system each user will be able to find the list of installations and equipment, indicating the serial number, entered in the institute's archives. In this transitional phase all the plants owned may not yet be present. In this regard, it will therefore be possible to use a special function in the CIVA application, to report the non-compliance. Users can also communicate to the Institute the acquisition of new equipment, or their transfer or disposal.

Employers can use the telematic services by accessing the site , with the credentials already in possession and access using one of the available profiles, to which was added that of "equipment and system consultant" (the operational manual prepared by INAIL is available at the following link).

For further information, the telematic service "Inail answers" is available (on the Inail site, in the "support" and "contact details" areas), which can provide assistance during the use of online services, and the telephone contact center, which can be reached from Monday to Friday, in the 9-18 time slot, at the 06.6001 number.
