With the publication - last June - of the update of the so-called "Candidate List", the ECHA (European Agency for Chemistry) has included among the extremely worrying substances candidates for the authorization procedure in compliance with the REACH Regulation , the lead.
Inclusion in the candidate list implies immediate obligations for its suppliers, such as:
- in the professional field, provide information on all SVHC substances present in the articles;
- communicate the related instructions on safety of use;
- respond to consumer requests within 45 days;
Orgalime has prepared an information note, dedicated to the obligations that are required of companies following the introduction of lead in the Candidate List. The Orgalime guide generally analyzes the obligations that must be respected by companies that use SVHC substances in quantities above the 0,1% weight threshold in the articles produced.
On the basis of this note, ANIMA has produced a specific document with an analysis of the obligations deriving from the insertion of Lead for the economic operators involved.
The Orgalime information note and the SOUL document are available to ANIMA Members (firstname.lastname@example.org).
