Last January 22, the European Commission launched the public consultation on the future of the Construction Products Regulation.
From the full entry into force of the Regulation (2013), observations and indications that could be the basis of a revision of the Regulations have been collected through dedicated studies.
Through this consultation, then the European Commission, now intends to give way to all citizens of the Union and stakeholders to express their views on several key aspects of the Regulation.
The Commission will then take account of the consultation in the impact assessment and impact assessment report and in the legislative proposal accompanying the report if the outcome of the evaluation indicates the need to change EU legislation on construction products.
The Public Consultation - which is structured in a short questionnaire available in 23 languages - will conclude the next 16 in April 2018.
