The 30 May was held in Confindustria, the Italy-Canada Business Forum in the presence of the Canadian Minister of International Trade, François-Philippe Champagne.
55 Italian companies, 13 Industrial Associations and 50 representatives from Canadian companies, chambers of commerce, financial institutes, universities and universities participated.
The Forum was an opportunity to deepen the main aspects of Italian-Canadian cooperation in the framework of the EU-Canada-CETA Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to enter into force shortly - and which opens up significant trade and investment opportunities.
The meeting continued with sector analyzes - food, aerospace, cyber security and e-procurement in Italy - and ended with a session of 130 bilateral business meetings between Canadian and Italian companies.
At the end of the Business Forum Italy-Canada President Vincenzo Boccia met with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, in the presence of the Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda and his Canadian Champaign Minister, plus 12 Italian entrepreneurs with interests in Canada To talk about foreign trade and the global scenario, deepening the prospects for bilateral economic relations within the CETA.
