Cinzia Garbelli is the new president of Anima Sicurezza

Vice presidents Cristian Bragantini and Fabio Podda also appointed

Anima Sicurezza, the association of manufacturers of solutions and services for the safekeeping of goods and valuables within Anima Confindustria, has a new president. The appointment goes to Cinzia Garbelli, who will lead the association for the next two years. Born in Saronno in 1977, Garbelli graduated in Law at the Liuc University of Castellanza. After a short master's degree in abogacia at the University of Cordoba and the Universidad de La Rioja in Madrid, she started working at LEM as administrative manager, and here since 2020 she has held the position of board president and legal representative. Passionate about beach volleyball and swing dancing, she was a member of the Young Entrepreneurs' Group of the Unione Industriali di Varese (Varese Industrial Union) until she reached the age limit.

Also appointed were vice-presidents Cristian Bragantini (Tecnosicurezza Spa) and Fabio Podda (Sistemi Sicurezza Service Sas) and treasurer Adriano Geremia (Security Italia Srl).

The newly elected president intends to continue the activities initiated by her predecessor, Luigi Rubinelli. "The professionalisation of the sector is a priority objective at Anima Sicurezza," said Garbelli. "Our constant commitment is to spread the culture of prevention and the valorisation of certified products, dialoguing with the market and institutions to regulate the need for risk reduction in commercial and private activities".

Cinzia Garbelli continues, "We will also continue to promote the training courses that Anima Sicurezza organises to encourage the professional growth of operators in the physical security sector. This is crucial for achieving our goals because, despite the progress our country has made in recent years in the area of security, there is still a long way to go. We need to raise awareness, promote professionalisation, and encourage the choice of products made in Italy, synonymous with quality and excellence'.

"The sector represented by Anima Sicurezza must be protected with great commitment in this historic moment," comments the president. "The difficulties in the supply of raw materials, with the consequent price increases, closely concern our sector, for which steel and aluminium are fundamental. A problem that had already arisen before the further escalation of the situation due to the war. In spite of the contingent situation, after the difficulties in 2020 that caused a drop in turnover of -5.3% compared to 2019, production remained stable at EUR 62 million in 2021, the same as the previous year.
