Recent years have seen a further increase in EU regulations. AVR has responded by lobbying and raising awareness directly with European institutions and by providing technical and regulatory support to its member companies.
Our experts participate in working groups and national, European, and international technical committees (UNI, CEN, ISO) for the development of specific standards for our sector. Among the initiatives developed are the presidency and management of the secretariat of CEN TC 236 for the development of European standards for gas valves, and CEN TC 53/GL19 for hydrogen issues in industrial valves.
We also actively participate in the work of ORGALIM, the European Body grouping the Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and Metallurgical Industries, established in 2005.
Given its importance to the water sector, we are closely monitoring initiatives to limit lead content in brass products that come into contact with water, and we are organizing meetings with industry specialists to update manufacturers on current legislation.
Collaboration with the associations Angaisa, Assomet, Assofond, and Federacciai continues
In particular, the cooperation with Assomet provides for the official weekly cost reporting of CW 614 N UNI EN 12164 brass rods.

AVR Secretariat weekly forwards to its member-companies standard updates concerning WGs UNI, CIG, CTI, Uniplast, Unsider, CEN e ISO.
