The 2025 AVR Assembly was held in Milan on October 23 and 24, 2025. It was a resounding success in terms of attendance and contents
The event included a networking dinner on the 23rd in the evocative setting of the Diocesan Museum. During the dinner, seven new AVR members for 2025 and 11 companies celebrating significant anniversaries since their founding in 2025 were honored.
On Friday the 24th, several Italian and international guests and association representatives attended a day entirely dedicated to the discussion of current technical and economic issues of international relevance at the prestigious Hotel Melià. These discussions were led by Italian politicians and MEPs, delegates from international associations, and distinguished economists.
The event proved to be an important opportunity to share updates, reflections, and perspectives on the sector, as well as a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration and dialogue among all those in attendance.
AVR President Sandro Bonomi so declared: “Valve and tap sector represents an excellency worldwide: it is indeed a highly specialised branch, internationally acknowledged as for quality, innovation, ability of reaching complex markets. Our companies are presently facing significant structural challenges: bureaucratic complexity, duties, lack of qualified technical experts and energy costs, among the highest in UU, represent actual obstacle to growth and competitivess. In this moment it is important that institutions and government strictly cooperate with both associations and companies so to preserve a branch which todays is almost 10 Billion euro worth and is still strategic for the whole Country. System. The today’s Assembly was essential of comparison on the future of the sector also thanks to the participation of politicians, international associations and market experts. An important opportunity to strengthen global reputation of the Italian industry of valves and taps, flagship of Made in Italy innovation and quality.”
