UMAN aims to raise awareness among industry professionals and the general public regarding fire prevention and safety issues, and optimize production and distribution processes throughout the supply chain.
Fire safety has come to play a significant role in society, and we are at the forefront of providing practical support to all those who wish to take advantage of the many opportunities offered by this new landscape.
Since its founding, UMAN - organized into specific working groups - has played a vital role in liaising with public institutions at the national, European, and international levels, contributing substantially to the development of standards and regulations capable of addressing the rapid evolution of the fire safety market, which, with approximately 10,000 employees, represents a substantial portion of the entire safety industry.
To this end, we maintain close collaborative relationships with Confindustria, the Ministry of the Interior and the National Fire Department, the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, the Ministry of Economic Development, the European Commission, and Eurofeu, the leading European association for fire protection.
- We participate in regulatory work (both national and European) by pooling our experience and expertise.
- We promote training for professionals in the fire safety sector.
- We organize seminars and conferences to promote a “culture of safety.”
- We encourage discussion and exchange among our members.
- We develop guidelines and tools to assist in day-to-day work.
