A new association “Generazione Distribuita – Systems for Energy Generation” is born within Anima Confindustria

It represents the manufacturers and distributors of appliances, machines, components and systems for the distributed conversion of electricity

The "Generazione Distribuita - Systems for Energy Generation" association is officially born within Anima Confindustria. The new association represents manufacturers and distributors of appliances, machines, components and systems for the distributed conversion of electricity. For example, companies that produce motors, alternators, electrical components, electronic components, mechanical components, generating sets and lighting towers are part of the association.
The president in office for the next two years is Marco Monsurrò (Coelmo), flanked by the vice-presidents Mario Carraro (MeccAlte) and Alessandro Favola (Kohler).

Married and father of three, Marco Monsurrò was born on march 2, 1974 in Naples, where he graduated in Business Administration and obtained a PhD in Economics. He has been working for Coelmo since 1999, dealing with various roles: plant manager, sales representetive, commercial director, and CEO.

The new president Monsurrò expresses satisfaction with the result achieved: «We have given a home to the sector of companies that design, produce, assemble and market components and systems for the distributed generation of energy, which with its 1.3 billion euros of aggregate turnover represents one of the excellence of Made in Italy in the world. The digital and ecological transition will necessarily pass through the adoption of distributed generation systems that will guarantee electrical continuity in all conditions of use».

Generazione Distribuita was born with different purposes within Anima Confindustria. First of all, to represent the associates on the European regulatory and technical tables; not least, Generazione Distribuita will have the task of promoting the products and services of the members, also through the direct organization of trade fairs and through the participation of group exhibitions at events abroad. It will therefore be necessary to promote and optimize the commercial and technical relations between the companies in the sector, as well as to define the quality standards of production protected by a "collective" brand.
Vice-president Mario Carraro, born in Vicenza in 1977, joined MeccAlte in 2007, occupying various operational roles until becoming general manager in 2016. Since 2020 he has been CEO of the group's controlling holding.

«Team play - says Carraro - is essential. In a globally scaled economy, the competitors are not the neighbors of the Italian industrial districts. We think that in the North East alone there are 5 manufacturers of electric cars within a radius of 30 km. The competitors are out in the market: concentrating forces is not just for not dispersing them. It serves to multiply them, and competition in the global market requires the maximum possible focus. Generazione Distribuita aims to be a multiplier of the forces of the companies that compose it».
Alessandro Favola, born in 1960, has been working in the diesel engine sector for over 35 years. Hired in Lombardini in 1987, he held various roles including Area Manager first, then Sales Manager Italy. Since 2007, the year of the acquisition of Lombardini by Kohler, he has retained the role of Sales Director for Italy.

«We are satisfied with the establishment of Generazione Distribuita - declares vice president Alessandro Favola -, an association that has managed to bring together many different companies that make up the supply chain of the electricity world. The attempt to group a supply chain that includes companies ranging from components to manufacturers of alternators represents an undertaking that has perhaps never been completed to date. We are now open to attracting further realities, including “after treatment” equipment for the treatment of exhaust gases. We can, and we want to expand the association to other companies».

Together with the president Marco Monsurrò and the vice-presidents Mario Carraro and Alessandro Favola, the team of directors is made up of:  Massimo Brotto (PR Industrial Srl/Pramac), Graziano Calzolari (Societè Internationale des moteurs Baudoin Sas), Marco Chilese (Energy Gruppi), Marco Colombo (Deutz Italia Spa), Laura Curioni (Sices Srl), Massimo Geminiani (Geminiani Spa), Massimo Ombra (Ausonia Srl), Enrico Soga (Soga Spa).
